Mandelbrot Screensaver Free licensed under GPLv3 is both free and open-source.

Designed to load locations in Mandelbrot fractal from places.txt text file and render them in a form of Windows screensaver.

Bear in mind that actual elements of the Mandelbrot set are all in black.
Various other colors are used to visualise numbers c for which the function fc(z)=z*z+c diverges to infinity.
